Storage & Care
Though delicate in nature, all Marissa Irwin Designs jewellery will last for generations to come if you take the time to properly store and care for each piece. Below are a few tips to help ensure your jewellery remains good as new:
Always store your jewellery in the case provided. If you misplace the case at some point in time, plastic zip-lock bags are a great alternative for storing your jewellery and protecting it from tarnishing agents.
Remember to remove your jewellery before showering, exercising, taking a dip in the pool or diving into the sea. Moisture can lead to erosion and discoloration.
Exposure to body lotion, perfumes and make-up can often expedite the process of tarnishing. As a rule of thumb, your jewellery should be the last item you put on and the first item you take off.
To remove dirt or oil from your jewellery, dip a soft toothbrush in warm soapy water (dishwashing soap is best) and gently brush the exposed metal. Once cleaned, use a cloth to gently pat the jewellery dry.
